Advertising disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, Beatiful House s.r.o. is paid a commission by the seller. You pay the seller’s own price and nothing is added. This page explains the arrangement in full, including the parts that are not flattering.

What a partner link is

A partner link is an ordinary link with a tracking identifier attached. The seller’s affiliate network uses that identifier to recognise that the visit came from this site, and to pay a commission if a purchase follows. Every such link on this site:

carries the HTML attributes rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which tell search engines that the link is commercial;
is labelled partner link in visible text on or directly beneath the button, on every button including those in sidebars;
is followed by a note stating that we earn a commission and that it costs you nothing extra;
appears on a page that carries a disclosure bar at the very top and a disclosure box immediately below the headline, both above any promotional content.

You should never have to guess. If you can see a call to action on this site, you can see that it is commercial.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission is paid by the seller out of its own margin. The price shown to you is the same price you would be shown if you typed the seller’s address into your browser. We have no discount code, no special rate and no ability to change what you are charged.

What it does not buy

Set out in full in the editorial policy. In short: no advertiser sees a draft, no advertiser can have a fair conclusion changed or a fact removed, commission rates play no part in what we cover or what we conclude, and what a product omits is stated as prominently as what it includes.

The conflict of interest, stated plainly

We are paid when you buy. That gives us an interest in your buying. A reader is entitled to weigh what we write in that light, and we would rather say so than let it be discovered. The safeguards above exist because the conflict is real, not because it is hypothetical. The most honest test of them is whether the articles tell you when not to buy — ours does, in a section headed who it fits, and who should buy something else.

If you would rather not use the links

Then do not. Type the seller’s address into your browser and go directly. The price is identical, you avoid the affiliate network’s tracking, and the articles here remain free to read. We would not be paid for that visit. Saying so is part of disclosing the arrangement honestly.

Tracking, and what we receive

This site itself sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — see the cookie policy. The advertiser’s site will track you once you arrive there; their policy governs that. We receive no personal data back from the network: commission reporting reaches us as aggregate counts, and we do not learn who you are or what you bought.
